1 week until Boston!

Yes, I know. I've been just a tad quiet on the blog posting front. Well, that doesn't mean I haven't been working. In fact, I've been so busy at work and with training, that doing my blog posts has never hit the top of the ToDo list.

Anyhow, the training has gone very well. Did my longest run a couple of weeks ago -- 27.5 miles -- and it went really well. We had lots of energy at the end still -- I felt I could have gone another 5 miles easily.

The tempo runs and speed work sessions that John Ferguson, Marathon Legend has run with Runner's Choice in London Ontario have been phenomenal as well.

And Brian Watson and Jed DeJong have been training right there with me (well -- in the case of Brian, a fair bit ahead of me) and I've met some really great people at these sessions as well: Bernie, Hugh, John, Joanne The Cookie Lady, Brian (the Olympic rower guy), Carolyn, Ian, Shannon. The Triathalon/IronMan people: Chris, Emily, Ally, Nancy, Ian, Jennifer, Leo -- I've probably missed a few (my apologies). And a ton of us are going to Boston from Runner's Choice. I think John said 45, roughly.

In summary, just over one week to go until the big day and I'm feeling confident!
